Charity and Social Justice

There seems to be a fair amount of confusion regarding social justice as opposed to charity.  The Oklahoma Sponsoring Committee was not necessarily formed as charity, unless you count the donation of our time to preventing suffering rather than relieving it.  Church doctrine teaches us we need both, but there are so many people that just don't understand the difference.  Rather than try to line it out here, the following site has a great chart and even a workbook.

It's our job as Christians to help educate others about our faith.  If people who proclaim to be Christians don't understand social justice, we should learn to see things the way they do, so we can relate the true message of the gospels.
